Snowy Owl is a specialized tundra inhabitant that prefers day activity. During polar summer it is active 24 hours a day. It is very rare in Poland, even during winter seasons. Males are almost completely white, whereas females have grey bands on their bodies. Chicks are entirely covered in grey fluff.
Did you know? – Undigested food leftovers like hair, bones and feathers which are removed from the bird’s stomach by vomiting in a form of a firm ball are called droppings.
