Indian Rock Python is found in Asiatic rainforests (Sri Lanka, India) usually near rivers. It is also found around human settlements. Active at night. It is excellent swimmer and climbs trees very well. It hunts mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. This python can reach a length of 6,5 meters. Thermal pits allow the snake to locate prey in complete darkness.

Did you know that… female lies around her eggs not only to protect them, she also incubates the eggs by raising temperature using muscular contractions.
