Eastern White Pelican The natural habitat of these herding birds consists of the river deltas, lakes and wetland areas of Africa and Asia.
Their most characteristic feature is a pouch with a capacity to hold up to 13 liters of water – the perfect trap for fish. When they look for food, they use the tactics of collective catch. These are one of the heaviest birds able to fly. Their weight can reach up to 11 kg.
