The African rock python inhabits a wide range of habitats, including savanna woodland and grassland, forest, savanna, semi-desert and rocky areas, edges of swamps, lakes and rivers and also suburban area. The African rock python feeds on monkeys, antelopes, a variety of large rodents, fruit bats, and even crocodiles.
