Amur Tiger

Amur Tiger Found mainly in the Siberian birch woods, the Amur
tiger is currently one of the species closest to becoming extinct. The
main reasons for the dramatic decline of this beautiful cat include
poaching, illegal trade and the belief that Amur tigers have magical
healing powers in various parts of their bodies. The Amur tiger is the
largest member of the family of cats (Felidae) – a male may weigh as
much as 300 kg. It is a skilled jumper and swimmer. Each and every
tiger has a unique set of stripes on its body.
